NomadPointe provides cost-of-living and city comparison estimates for digital nomads. City data is stored in static TypeScript files and reviewed by editors. This is not a live cost-of-living API and not a monthly Numbeo mirror. Visa income floors and application URLs should be rechecked on the official site before you apply.

Numbeo, Airbnb, and local listing sites inform cost bands. We do not scrape Numbeo monthly or claim a 90-day automated refresh.

Target User Profile

Our default estimates are designed around a specific profile so comparisons stay consistent:

  • Single remote worker
  • Short-mid term stay (1-6 months)
  • Airbnb / furnished rental
  • City-center lifestyle

Calculation Logic

  • Weighted average: we combine inputs using a weighted approach so no single metric dominates the final estimate.
  • USD-based: outputs are expressed in USD for consistent comparisons across cities.
  • Outlier cleaning: extreme values are filtered to reduce noisy spikes and one-off anomalies.
  • Update cadence: each city page shows its own last updated date. That date is editorial. We do not run a monthly Numbeo scrape or a guaranteed 90-day refresh of every city.

All figures are estimates and may vary based on lifestyle and timing. Seasonality, neighborhood choice, booking lead time, and personal spending habits can materially change real-world costs and experience.
